1000MM SLIDING SHOWER DOORS
1000mm Sliding Shower Doors
Shop our range of 1000mm sliding shower doors for recess installations and complete corner enclosures. A sliding door opens within its own frame, making it a practical choice where a toilet, basin, radiator or bathroom furniture limits the space available outside the shower.
Why Choose a 1000mm Sliding Shower Door?
A 1000mm sliding shower door offers a useful balance between comfortable access and efficient use of bathroom space. Because the moving glass panel slides behind or alongside the fixed section, the door does not project into the room when opened.
This makes sliding doors particularly useful in en-suites and smaller bathrooms where an outward-opening pivot or hinged door could interfere with nearby fixtures. They are also a popular replacement option for existing recess installations around the 1000mm nominal size.
Our collection includes different glass thicknesses, frame styles, heights, adjustment ranges and finishes. Browse the products below to compare options from brands including Crown, Lakes, Nuie, Hudson Reed and Scudo, subject to current availability.
1000mm Is a Nominal Size
A door described as 1000mm will normally fit a range of installation widths rather than one exact measurement. Different products may have different minimum and maximum adjustment dimensions.
Always measure the finished tiled opening and check it against the adjustment range shown on the individual product page.
How to Measure for a 1000mm Sliding Door
What to Compare Before Buying
- Adjustment range: this must include the width of your finished opening.
- Door opening: check the usable entry width rather than relying only on the overall door size.
- Glass thickness: specifications vary between individual products.
- Frame type: choose between framed, semi-frameless and more minimal designs.
- Finish: select a frame that coordinates with your taps, shower and bathroom accessories.
- Door handing: check whether the product is reversible or has a fixed opening direction.
- Side-panel compatibility: confirm the correct panel if creating a complete corner enclosure.
Recess Installation or Complete Enclosure?
For a recess installation, the shower door is fitted between two finished walls. This creates a clean, space-efficient shower area without requiring a separate side panel.
To create a rectangular corner enclosure, combine a compatible 1000mm sliding door with the correct side panel and shower tray. Always check compatibility because side panels, adjustment ranges and overall enclosure dimensions vary between manufacturers and product collections.
Need a Different Width?
If your finished opening falls outside the available 1000mm adjustment ranges, compare a nearby size rather than attempting to force an unsuitable door into the space.
